Christopher Hitchens, renowned author and journalist, died a year ago of throat cancer, but not before writing a moving and witty assessment of his life, his illness, and his impending death.
Hitchen’s book, “Mortality” was widely received as powerful and poignant, brimming with interest and clear that a good death was as important to him as a good life. His wife, Carol Blue, wrote equally movingly of their final months together, penning a beautiful afterword to the book which is quoted at length in The Telegraph here.
